Conversion FAQ #14
| |
Question: How will I access my network drives after I have been converted to Active Directory?
| |
Answer: After your conversion, you will still access your H:, G:, and other network drives the same way you have before (by exploring ‘My Computer’ on Windows machines).

If you are using a Macintosh, your network drives will mount on your Desktop as soon as you log in to your computer (or you may choose not to bind to the network servers at Login). You can access your network drives by navigating to Go/Connect to server, selecting the path created for you, and entering your O-Key username and password.

There may be a brief period of time after your department begins to migrate (but before your machine is converted) when you may have limited access to your network drives. Your local computer support professionals will keep you informed of such changes during the conversion process. If you will need uninterrupted access to network drives, contact your computer support professional to discuss options.
