How To Configure Outlook at Home:

(This will only work with Outlook 2003 with all Microsoft Outlook updates applied.)

First time using Outlook 2003
|
| |
|
1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003. Select Yes to set up an email account. Click Next. (Move to step 6.)

|
Currently Using Outlook 2003 for your OSU mail.
|
| |
|
2. Open the Windows Control Panel and select Mail. Click on the Email Accounts button. (Proceed to step 6.)
|
| |
|
Currently Using Outlook 2003 for another ISP and would like to create two separate Profiles in Outlook 2003.
|

|
3. Open the Windows Control Panel and select Mail. Click on the Show Profiles button.
|
| |
|
| |
|
4. Select Prompt for a profile to be used. Click Add.
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
5. Enter a name for the Profile (i.e. OSU Mail). (Proceed to step 6.)

|
|
| |
|
6. Under Email select – Add a new email account. Click Next.
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
7. On the Server Type page – select Microsoft Exchange Server. Click Next.
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
8. Enter your Microsoft Exchange Server name ad.okstate.edu and de-select User Cached Exchange Mode. Enter your Okey Email Address in the User Name field. Click on the More Settings button.

|
NOTE: If after setup you experience a connection issue please call the IT Helpdesk at 1-405-744-4357 and ask for what Exchange server your mail is located on then replace ad.okstate.edu with that information. (Example: exs4.ad.okstate.edu)

9. Click on the Security Tab and check Encrypt data.

| |
|
|
| |
|
10. Click on the Connection Tab. Select Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN). Under Exchange over the Internet, select Connect to Exchange mailbox using HTTP. Click on the Exchange Proxy Settings.

11. On the Exchange Proxy Settings Page, ensure there is a check mark in ALL check boxes, enter mail.okstate.edu in the Proxy server for Exchange field, enter msstd:mail.okstate.edu in the Principal name for Proxy server field

12. Click OK, Click OK, Click Next, then Click Finish.

13. Start Microsoft Outlook. You will be prompted for your Okey email address and password.
