Configure Outlook 2003 |

| Setting up an IMAP connection in Outlook 2003: |
|
1. Open Outlook 2003.
|

2. If the 'Outlook 2003' dialog box appears, stating that Outlook 2003 is not your default mail client, do one of the following:
|

- To make Outlook 2003 the default mail client, click 'Yes'.
- To leave the current mail client the default one, click 'No'.
|
|
|
3. Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'E-Mail Accounts...'. (The 'Internet Accounts' dialog box appears.)

4. Choose the 'Add a new e-mail account' radial button.

5. Choose the 'IMAP' radial button. (IMAP leaves email on the server instead of downloading it to your local computer.)

|
6. Fill in your Name and your E-mail address.
|
|
7. Enter your first.last@okstate.edu and Password
|
| |
- If you would like to type your account user name and password every time you check your mail, clear the 'Remember password' check box.
|
|
|
8. Enter the Incoming mail server, your incoming mail server will be mail.okstate.edu.
|
|
9. Enter the Outgoing mail server, smtp.okstate.edu.
|
|
10. Click on the 'More Settings button...' ( The Internet E-mail Settings Window Appears.)

11. Click the 'Outgoing ServerTab'. Place a check mark in the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and confirm that "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is activated
|

12. Click 'OK'.

13. Click 'Next'.
|
| |

| |

14. Click 'Finish'.
|
|
15. # You have setup you OSU E-mail Account. Then either restart Outlook or select the Send/Receive button to have the e-mail delivered from the server.
