The Information Technology Department has completed the Desire2Learn upgrade installation mandated by the U.S. District Court.

According to the lawsuit, the upgrade to version 8.3 must be completed before June 12. For more information on the patent infringement lawsuit, visit http://www.desire2learn.com/patentinfo/.

Changes found with version 8.3 include:

- Icons—Buttons have a new look and are more responsive.
- Content—Headings are now collapsible.
- Discussion—Forums and topics have changed. Users will be able to choose between a new readable style and the standard view of discussions.
- Grades—Instructors can view their books from a “manage grades” view or an “enter grades” view, and there is a set-up wizard to help instructors set up their grade book.
