This list designates drive letters reserved for use by CIS as standard drive mappings on Novell servers in the Okstate NDS tree as well as those deemed available for public use. No departmental servers installed in the Okstate NDS tree may re-map or otherwise use the reserved drive letters.
A: thru E: Generally used by the local workstation but available for general use F:, L:, M:, and O: thru Z: are available for general use
These drive letters are reserved for use by CIS:
G: - Group drive (shared by the immediate department of the client)
H: - Home drive (individuals private home directory )
I: - Directory shared by multiple departments within an organization (generally up to the top OU n the NDS tree where the client resides)
J: - OSU wide shared directory, (strictly temporary storage, data located there can be deleted by anyone at anytime)
K: - Public directory ( contains Novell specific utilities )
N: - Applications drive ( for access to all CIS offered applications )
