All active OSU students, faculty and staff can sign-up for a university email account using the Orange Key (O-Key) Account Services system. You have the option of using the university-supported email system (Microsoft Outlook/Exchange), or forwarding your OSU email to another account of your choice. To activate your new OSU email account, follow the steps below:

1. Go to http://okey.okstate.edu.
2. Click on the O-Key Account Activation button on the main page.
3. Enter the first 2 digits of your last name, the last 5 digits of your Social Security Number, and your date of birth in the appropriate fields. Once all three pieces of information have been entered successfully, you will be guided through an activation wizard that will help you obtain an O-Key username, password, and email address.
4. Upon completion of the activation wizard, it may take up to an hour before your new account is ready to use.

Outlook Web Access (OWA)
|

If you selected an Exchange mailbox, you can access your OSU email from any web browser by using Outlook Web Access (OWA) at http://mail.okstate.edu.

|
OWA has two settings at login which affects the amount of idle time before being logged out automatically, Public and Private. The Public setting will end a user’s session after 15 minutes of idle time. The Private setting will end a user’s login after 24 hours of idle time.
