Question: How do I access my network drives once I have connected to the OSU VPN service?
| |
Answer: Once your OSU VPN connection has been established, you can map a network drive to your Active Directory G: and/or H: drives. For Windows XP users:
| |
- Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Map Network Drive ...'
- To map a drive to an OSU-Stillwater IT provided departmental group drive (usually labelled G:), select G: in the 'Drive' field (or another drive letter of your choice), and type \\stwfile01.ad.okstate.edu\Dfs_Root into the 'Folder' field. Be sure to check the 'Reconnect at login' box, then click 'Finish'. If prompted to login, use your O-Key email address and password.
- To map a drive to an OSU-Stillwater IT provided individual home drive (usually labelled H:), you should first login to O-Key and look up your 'Home Drive Information'. Copy the home drive path from O-Key and paste it into the 'Folder' field of the Map Network Drive dialog box. Select H: in the 'Drive' field (or another drive letter of your choice), and check the 'Reconnect at login' box. Finally, click the 'Finish' button.
