UPGRADING UNIVERSITY COMPUTER TO WINDOWS 11 THROUGH THE SOFTWARE CENTER APPLICATION
If your university owned computer is compatible with Windows 11, the option to upgrade
to Windows 11 should be available in the Software Center application on your computer.
If you do not have the Windows 11 Upgrade available in your Software Center application,
please reach out to the IT Helpdesk at 405-744-4357 or by email at helpdesk@okstate.edu.
Steps:
1. Open the Start menu (usually located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen).
2. With the Start menu open, begin typing "Software Center" (without the quotes).
3. Choose the Software Center application that appears as the search result.
4. Select the Updates option that appears in the list on the left side of the Software
Center window.
5. The “Upgrade to Windows 11” should be listed.
6. Select the Install All button in the upper right to begin the upgrade process to
Windows 11.
7. The Software Center application should then update to show downloading and installing
of the Upgrade to Windows 11.
