Different Ways to Connect
In order to continue its efforts to enhance security measures for the university, Information Technology has made two options available to connect to OSU resources: the VPN client and Terminal Services Gateway (TS Gateway). The VPN client is available to OSU employees only and can be found on the IT Software Distribution Web site. TS Gateway is a Web-based solution, and configuration on the workstation and connecting servers may be required. Information on the configuration can be found at the TS Gateway Resource Center. IT is available to help all employees and students with these solutions. Please contact the IT Helpdesk at (405) 744-HELP or helpdesk@okstate.edu for assistance.

Issues with Backscatter
Numerous people on campus have reported seeing large amounts of “spam” being sent to their inboxes. This “spam” is actually called backscatter. Universities across the country are dealing with a backscatter problem. The OSU Information Technology Department is currently working with our anti-spam vendor, Proofpoint, to find a way to alleviate this issue. We have created this
resource center to help answer questions you may have about backscatter messages and show you what you can do to alleviate the problem.
