Guiding OSU's Digital Landscape

Providing university administration, faculty, staff and students with digital security related information to enable them to make informed decisions.

The Governance Risk and Compliance group offers multiple services including:

  • Evaluating business processes, data handling and data management for risks
  • Consultations are provided to determine security and compliance needs for complicated risk scenarios
  • Review third party vendors to ensure compliance with university guidelines

Gramm Leach Bliley Act

The Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) is a law that requires financial institutions, or companies, that offer consumers financial products or services like loans, financial or investment advice, or insurance, to explain their information-sharing practices to their customers and to safeguard sensitive data.


GLBA Governing Body 

The GLBA governing body, comprised of OSU representatives from the OSU A&M system, ensure OSU is compliant with all aspects of the GLBA.





Members of OSU who interact with GLBA data should contact Enterprise Information Technology to ensure compliance with the Safeguards Rule and university procedures.
