Orange Mail (G Suite by Google Cloud) is a legacy system that some students may have selected as their mail delivery platform.
An official OSU email address always ends in “@okstate.edu” no matter which delivery service has been selected. University communications are sent to @okstate.edu email addresses.
Even if a student has selected Orange Mail, they may still access the tools and applications of both the Microsoft® Office 365™ and G Suite by Google Cloud. See Cowboy Mail.
Use your O-Key credentials to sign in to Orange Mail by going to orangemail.okstate.edu.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How do I add my Orange Mail account to Outlook ProPlus?
How do I stop instructor emails from being sent to my spam folder?
To ensure their email will go to the Inbox, students should whitelist the teacher’s email address in their GSuite account. If the student doesn’t want to whitelist the email address, they can also mark the emails as “Not Spam.” The system will then learn that those emails are okay and will send them to their Inbox instead.
The only way to for sure send them to the Inbox is for the student to add the email address to their whitelist.
Click the Settings button in the top right and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
Click the Filters and Blocked Addresses button from within the Settings menu bar.
Click Create a new filter and add the email address you want to whitelist and click Create Filter
Select Never send it to Spam from the list and click Create Filter.
Not Spam Method
Go to the Spam folder.
Check the box beside the email.
Click Not Spam from the top menu bar.
