Due to products in OSU’s Drupal server environment going “end of life” next year, all Drupal sites using OSU’s templates (Orange, Black or Responsive) must be migrated to OmniUpdate by Sept 30, 2020.

Student Organization sites will need to switch to CampusLink and can be managed by the student organization’s officers. Students who need assistance managing their organization’s site (uploading documents, setting up elections, creating events on the flyerboard, creating online forms etc.) can contact the Student Organization/Campus Link Graduate Teaching Assistant at campuslink@okstate.edu or 405-744-5486 or 405-744-8045, or contact Fran Gragg at fran.gragg@okstate.edu.

Key Dates

  • Oct-Nov 2019 - Brand Management and IT will begin communicating this plan to Drupal users, web council, and communicators group.

  • Sept 1, 2020 - Site lockout will occur to help identify remaining sites that are at risk for missing the deadline. Site Owners and Editors will need to submit a Helpdesk ticket to request restored access to their site, as well as their plans for migrating the site.

  • Oct 1, 2020 - IT will remove remaining sites and decommission the server. Any sites that have not been migrated will be permanently deleted and users will not be able to access the site via a web browser.

Migrating to Omni

New sites in OmniUpdate will have the latest OSU templates (Patternlab) as seen on this site, and https://brand.okstate.edu. New users to OmniUpdate will need to go through training. In-person training is available for sign-up through http://talent.okstate.edu  and online training is available by contacting sarah.lyon@okstate.edu. Each undergraduate college is planning a large migration to the new Patternlab templates over the next year. If your Drupal site is an academic department, lab or research site you must speak with your college’s communications department before beginning your site migration.
