SharePoint is a web-based application for storing shared documents. SharePoint is highly configurable so its use varies greatly. A chief feature is that it provides an online workspace that supports collaborative work.


SharePoint’s attributes include document libraries, calendaring, lists, task assignment, workflow creation, access control, and many other tools.

Getting Started

Departmental personnel can request a SharePoint site through their Information Technology Coordinator (ITC), the departmental IT contact person in each college.

SharePoint is available for individual use through their Office 365 account, i.e., their internet Cowboy Mail account.
