VDI
VDI is the virtual desktop platform offered to Oklahoma State students. It can be accessed through traditional lab settings on the OSU Stillwater campus or directly through https://desktop.okstate.edu remotely.
Details
VDI provides numerous virtual desktop environments for students to work with. The desktops include specialized software packages including but not limited to SAS and Mathmatica. Traditional lab environments where VDI can be accessed are located on the 1st floor of Math Sciences and the 4th floor of the Classroom building. Additionally, VDI desktops can be accessed remotely at https://desktop.okstate.edu.

Methods to access the virtual desktop environment:

Setup Instructions
To install a desktop client for Virtual Labs:

Using Chrome or Firefox visit https://desktop.okstate.edu.

Click the "Install VMware Horizon Client". The installation will put a VMware Horizon icon on the desktop.

Click the "VMware Horizon View Client" desktop icon.

Enter in "desktop.okstate.edu" for the server to connect to.

Click the desktop.okstate.edu icon.

Log in using your O-Key credentials.

When the dialog box opens, choose which virtual lab you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I save information to my virtual desktop?
Virtual desktops are refreshed each time you log-out, all information should be saved to an external source such as your student Onedrive provided through Office 365 or a thumbdrive.
Can I access VDI off campus?
Yes. Follow the setup instructions above on your computer.
