IT Announcements are the messaging channel used to alert the university system of
interruptions to digital services managed, administered or monitered by Enterprise
IT.

Types of IT Announcements
Outages
System or service downtime that is unanticipated and either has an unclear cause or is not controlleld by EIT. These have a clear start time and anticipated resolution time.
Scheduled Maintenance
System or service downtime controlled by EIT that are planned and communicated a minimum of five business days in advance. These have a clear start and end time.
Urgent Maintenance
System or service downtime controlled by EIT that are planned and communicated less than five but greater than one business day in advance. These have a clear start and end time.
