Getting Started for Employees

Let us start by saying, "Welcome to OSU!" This page will walk you through some of the basic services IT provides on campus and how to access them, and answers a few frequently asked questions. Some of these steps may not be available until you are on campus. If you have any problems call or email the IT Helpdesk.

1. Activate your Orange Key (O-Key) campus account

Use your O-Key account to access OSU services, including email, Wi-Fi, and online courses. You should receive an email with instructions on activating your O-Key account. Account passwords expire every 120 days. If you haven't already, visit and click “Activate your O-Key Account” to get started. You might need to wait up to 30 minutes after activating your O-Key before accessing other services.
