How do I add a mobile device for authorization codes through the Multifactor Authentication Portal?
Overview
You can add devices to your account by authenticating to the MFA Portal using your O-Key credentials. Once you have authenticated, you will be prompted to verify or setup your account. You can then add a new mobile device.
-
Open a web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, etc.) and visit the MFA Portal.
-
Once the page loads, you can verify the site is authentic by checking the site's Extended Validation (EV) certificate.
-
Login using your O-Key login address (example: pistol.pete@okstate.edu) and O-Key password.
-
After you have authenticated successfully:
-
If this is the first time you have authenticated to the MFA Portal and\or do not have any devices setup, the text "Protect Your Oklahoma State University Account" should appear across the top of the page. Click the Start Setup button.
-
If you already have devices setup in the MFA Portal, you will be presented to either choose a device to authorize your account or your default device will be contacted for authorization automatically.

There is an option when logging into protected systems that will remember your login and authorization for thirty (30) days. To check the Remember option, you will need to click the Cancel button in the blue bar across the bottom of the page and then check the option when authenticating.
-
When you are finished configuring the new mobile device on the My Settings & Devices page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button.
-
The Save button text should change to Saved when the changes have been applied to your account. You can now close the browser tab\window or click the Add another device link below the list of devices on the My Settings & Devices page.
