Helpdesk

The OSU-IT Helpdesk delivers a wide range of technical support to all OSU students, staff, and faculty by telephone or email contact. Individuals who need in-person assistance with complex computer issues can call the Helpdesk to make an appointment with the associated Deskside Support area.

 

The OSU-IT Helpdesk addresses numerous technology issues. Some examples include wired or wireless network connections, ID cards, security, computer labs, O-Key accounts, Banner, Canvas, set up on email on a cell phone, to name a few.

The Helpdesk uses incident tracking software to maintain reliability of managing the contacts so that customer issues are tracked and resolved quickly. First contact resolution is a primary goal of the OSU-IT Helpdesk.

 The IT Helpdesk houses the OSU-Stillwater ID Card Production office.

Hours

The OSU IT Helpdesk may be closed on campus holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, or when campus is closed.

 

Thanksgiving Hours

Closed Nov. 24th and 25th for Thanksgiving.

Live Chat

The live chat option is a function that can be found at the bubble iSupport Chat Icon below. When you utilize the chat function, you can live chat with the IT Helpdesk for any issues would like to discuss. Once you do initiate the chat, you will have some connection time while a Helpdesk Agent gets to your chat request -- this may take a couple of minutes. You will also be asked to provide your name, a good phone number, a good email address, and potentially your Banner ID for further information, contact, and troubleshooting. All chat logs will be recorded within your ticket with the Helpdesk.
