Network Connectivity
Network connectivity refers to the different aspects of connection to the wired and wireless networks on the OSU Stillwater campus.
Details
Wired
The OSU wired network is available to more than 95 percent of the Stillwater campus. Users use an Ethernet cord to connect by plugging it into the numerous orange wall jacks available in classrooms, offices, residential areas, and public areas. The speed of wired connectivity is one gigabit per second.
Wireless
Wireless connectivity is available in most areas of campus. Networks are set up for different groups of users and functions. Look for the following networks:

eduroam (for students and staff)

OSUGUEST (guests sponsored by departments)

OSUREGISTERED (for devices lacking keyboard input capability).

MyResNet and OSURESLIFE (Residential halls and apartments only. See Res. Life for info)

Some devices may require a certificate file to connect to the eduroam wireless network. Download the wireless certificate

How Do I Submit A Request For A Wired Network Jack Activation\Enable?
A newly installed or disabled wired network wall jack must be activated or enabled before it can be used for Ethernet connectivity. Contact the IT Helpdesk to request a wired network wall jack be activated or enabled via one of the two options below:

Submit a new request by authenticating to the Wired Network Jack Activation\Enable form.
